Program Overview:

The TexLou Sports Athletic Skills Training Programs are designed to enhance the fundamental skills, agility, strength, and sports IQ of young athletes across all sports. Our goal is to develop well-rounded athletes by focusing on skill progression, injury prevention, mental toughness, and sportsmanship. This program caters to athletes of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, and is structured to provide progressive training in a dynamic and engaging environment.

Program Details:

Monthly Durations: Saturdays ONLY!

Sessions: Once per week (90-minute sessions)

Times & Dates: TBD

Age Group: Boys & Girls (Ages 8-15)

Location: TexLou Sports Training Facility (TBD)

Cost: $300 ($50 per week)

Training Components:

1. Speed & Agility Training:

Dynamic warm-up and flexibility exercises

Acceleration and deceleration drills

Footwork drills (ladder, cones, resistance bands)

Lateral movement and change of direction exercises

Reaction time improvement techniques

2. Strength & Conditioning:

Bodyweight strength exercises (push-ups, squats, lunges)

Core stability and endurance drills

Explosive power development (jump training, plyometrics)

Resistance training (age-appropriate)

Injury prevention techniques

3. Sport-Specific Skill Development:

Drills tailored to individual sports (basketball, football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, etc.)

Position-specific techniques

Hand-eye coordination training

Passing, shooting, dribbling, catching, hitting, or other sport-related mechanics

4. Mental Training & Sports IQ:

Game awareness and decision-making skills

Confidence and self-motivation techniques

Handling pressure and building resilience

Visualization and mental preparation exercises

5. Nutrition & Recovery Education:

Basics of sports nutrition and hydration

Recovery techniques (stretching, foam rolling, sleep importance)

Injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies
